IN THIS SECTION
Dear Students, Prospective Candidates, and Esteemed Stakeholders,
The construction sector plays a strategic role in economic development and the enhancement of social welfare. Rapidly advancing technology, structural safety requirements, sustainability principles, and global competition continuously increase the demand for qualified technical personnel in the sector. As the Construction Technology Program, our primary mission is to educate competent Construction Technicians who integrate theoretical knowledge with practical skills, adhere to professional ethical values, possess a strong sense of responsibility, and adapt to sectoral innovations.
Graduates of our program receive the title of “Construction Technician.” Our graduates can take part in a wide range of construction fields including building and superstructure projects, infrastructure and road construction, bridges and transportation structures, dams and hydraulic structures, energy and industrial facilities, as well as oil and natural gas transmission lines. They may be employed in public institutions and organizations, municipalities, building inspection firms, private construction and contracting companies, construction site organizations, and technical office units. In accordance with the criteria defined by current legislation, our graduates may undertake the role of construction site chief and serve with official signature authority. As the construction sector operates on a global scale, our graduates have opportunities not only in Türkiye but also in large-scale international construction projects abroad. Our program stands out with its high employment rate.
Our graduates are capable of effectively performing technical duties such as quantity surveying and cost estimation, preparation of progress payment reports, project interpretation and implementation supervision, work scheduling, quality control processes, occupational health and safety practices, and site coordination.
Our educational approach is practice-oriented and shaped in line with current legislation and sectoral needs. Course contents are regularly updated within the framework of sustainable construction practices, structural safety, earthquake awareness, digital design tools, and contemporary construction techniques. In addition to acquiring technical knowledge, our students are encouraged to develop analytical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Computer-aided technical applications hold an important place in our program. Through our well-equipped computer laboratory, students perform technical drawing, computer-aided design, project modeling, quantity take-off, and calculation studies using professional software in a practical environment. Training technical personnel who can adapt to the digital transformation process is among our primary objectives.
Within our student-centered approach, the academic advising system is effectively implemented, and guidance is provided to students regarding internship processes, career planning, and professional development. Through compulsory internships, our students gain real construction site experience and develop professional responsibility. This practice-based education model contributes to a strong start in their professional careers.
Our academic vision is to educate graduates equipped with the technical knowledge and competence necessary to contribute to sustainable, safe, and high-quality construction. We closely follow national and international developments and maintain communication and cooperation with public institutions, local authorities, and private sector representatives. In line with stakeholder opinions, sector feedback, and graduate monitoring results, we regularly review and update our program content. Within this framework, we aim for our students to graduate with competencies that enable them to compete at both national and international levels.
In line with our institutional identity, we embrace the principles of quality assurance, transparency, and continuous improvement. Our goal is not only to educate graduates with strong technical knowledge but also to cultivate professionals who adhere to ethical values, possess social responsibility awareness, and contribute to safe construction practices.
As the Construction Technology Program, we remain committed to educating the qualified Construction Technicians needed by our country through our strong academic staff and practice-based education model. We thank our students who choose our program and all our stakeholders, and I extend my sincere regards to you all.
